My First Time Camping

I went camping for the first time last weekend with my dad and brother. We drove to a campsite in the mountains. First, we set up the tent. It was harder than I thought—we had to put the poles together and tie the tent to the ground. Dad made a fire for cooking. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The marshmallows were sticky but delicious. At night, we sat around the fire and told stories. I saw more stars than I’d ever seen before—the sky was full of them. I slept in a sleeping bag inside the tent. It was cold, but I was warm. In the morning, we went hiking and saw a deer. It was beautiful. Camping was a great experience. I learned how to live without electricity and appreciate nature. I want to go camping again next month. I’ll bring my camera to take photos of the stars and animals.
