My School’s Charity Run
Our school held a charity run last Friday. The goal was to raise money for children in poor areas. Each student asked family and friends to donate money for every kilometer they ran. I raised $50 before the run. On the day, I wore a red T-shirt and running shoes. The run was 3 kilometers long. I started slowly, but halfway through, I felt tired. I saw my mom cheering for me, so I kept going. I ran with my classmate Jack—we encouraged each other. When I crossed the finish line, I was out of breath but happy. The school raised $10,000 in total. I received a certificate for participating. The charity run taught me the importance of helping others. I learned that even a small effort can make a big difference. I want to join more charity activities.
