Watching a Rainbow

Last Tuesday, a heavy rain stopped suddenly at noon, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. I was in math class, but when someone shouted “Rainbow!”, the teacher let us go to the window. The rainbow had seven bright colors—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. It arched over the park, connecting the two ends of the sky. I took out my phone and took many photos. My little sister, who was at kindergarten, called me excitedly to say she saw it too. The rainbow lasted for about 20 minutes before fading away. Watching it made me feel happy and peaceful. My mom said rainbows are a gift from nature, and I couldn’t agree more. I hope I can see another one soon.
