My Experience in the School Spelling Bee
I participated in the school spelling bee last month. I practiced for two weeks, writing down difficult words like "restaurant" and "Wednesday" in a notebook. On the day of the bee, I felt nervous but excited. The judge said the first word: "apple." I spelled it correctly. As the rounds went on, more students were eliminated. When I got the word "necessary," I remembered the trick my teacher taught me: "one ‘c’ and two ‘s’." I spelled it right. In the final round, I competed against Lily. The word was "accommodate." I spelled it slowly and won! The audience cheered, and I got a trophy. This experience taught me that hard work pays off. I also learned to stay calm when I’m nervous.
